If only I could have less (bad) things to write about.
I discovered that the mirror I had brought with me had broken. It had the size of a iPad mini.
What I didn't realise until just now was that not only did it leave pieces of broken glasses in my suitcase, it also produced glass shards that were as tiny as powder.
These powdery glass shards were not as visible. I shone the torch on my clothes and was shocked with the glitter.
I also cut myself when I tried to remove those larger pieces of broken glasses.
Is it a bad omen? I don't know but it had definitely given me more work.
I am washing those clothes now. Hopefully the powdery glass shards will get rinsed out. If not hopefully the dryer will filter them out when I dry them later.
And then, I have got to go through about 20 pieces of these clothing, under the table lamp to kinda make sure that there aren't any left. Otherwise, I will have to dump them away :(
Sigh....Sigh...Sigh...
Last night, my aunt called me on Skype. And she said, 'OH, today was the don't know what 'God' 's birthday, and hor, the 'sifu' ('master') told me that hor, if you're felling unwell, you got to contact him yourself la, because these things hor, I'm not allowed to pray for you'.
Seriously? I was so pissed off.
I had told her that I didn't need her help, to go these dodgy temples and pray for me. I don't need extra wealth, I don't need any of these. I told her to just leave me alone.
Like I had blogged previously, these 'gods' are actually evil spirits. Yes, you are praying to ghosts actually.
So let me tell you a story.
My younger sister discovered that she had this serious health condition when she was in kindergarten. One afternoon, while walking with her two other classmates, she fell down, and developed a mega bruise on her leg. It took her a very long time for the bruise (the dark blue/black) spot to disappear.
Naturally, my parents were concerned. So with the blood test, they were told that my sister had a condition, of low platelets count. Platelets, for those of you who don't do science, are components in our blood that help us to stop bleeding, because they clot the blood and prevent us from dying from blood loss.
Since then, we visited many doctors. Western doctors, to chinese doctors, to lots of chinese medicine for my younger sister. She had to be taken to the hospital almost every month (or longer? I forgot) to have her blood taken so that the platelet level could be measured.
She might die if the platelet count was too low, from internal bleeding i heard, so it's a critical condition. We all had to travel around, sometimes making trips that were 300km one way, to bring my younger sis to visit doctors. My parents spent lots of money, time and energy.
Then, came a time, when my aunt started to know about this 'sifu' or master. She consulted this guy and was told that my father's ancestors were not living happily because they weren't worshipped (we are Christians). Oh, my father was adopted by my grandparents. And because we were not worshipping these ancestors, they were angry and not 'blessing' my younger sis.
So, it all started, my aunt being a nice woman and a superstitious one, started praying 'on our behalf' through this man.
And, my sister's platelet count kinda stabilised. But, actually, this platelet problem, is a condition that will improve as one ages. It might not have anything to do with the praying. But my aunt believes firmly on it, and tries to influence my dad. My mum on the other hand, is very strong with our beliefs and hates it whenever my aunt tries to influence us in any ways.
A few years later, one morning, my dad had taken medical leave and was staying at home. Only me and him at home. He complained of neck pain, severe neck pain. And the pain was getting worse and worse. I was 13. I didn't know what to do. I asked if he wanted me to call the ambulance, he asked me to call mum first, and said that 'it's so painful that he's dying'.
At that time, my grandfather was still alive. And though he was not as obsessed as my aunt, he was desperate for any kind of help that he might get for his son. He was more than 80 years old. He came over to our house. He called the guy, the master.
He was told that, a demon/monster was actually pulling my dad's soul apart. And that's why the neck was in so much pain because the demon was breaking my dad's neck.
Even then, I hated this man. It's all bullshit. It was a planned attack, if it really had anything to do with demons. Because he wanted to convert us so much. It's not the money that demons want. They want us, they wan worshippers.
So, the natural thing i did was to pray for my dad. My mum came home and together we sent my dad to the hospital. We rushed him into the emergency ward, and they had to put on oxygen mask for my dad because he said he couldn't breathe. I thought he was really going to die.
About half an hour later, he was wheeled out. He was feeling better. He was then hospitalised for a day or two.
That time, my dad was actually stressed with stuffs. That might be a result of excessive stress and muscle tension. It might also be 'a planned attack'. Whatever it was, my aunt tried to 'smuggle' some amulets into my dad's ward when he was in hospital. My mum saw it and had a big argument with her. My grandparents who were also in the ward, literally begged my mum so that my dad could keep the amulet to be protected from the demons.
Oh, and by the way, my grandfather, being over 80 years old, rode his motorbike for like 15kms to the temple and got the amulet.
Ever since then, my aunt's faith has grown stronger. Now, everything, big or small, she will consult this master. And for sure, constant financial support for this man, though my aunt claimed was not that much of money.
There were also many other 'instances'. People or relatives who were in contact with my aunt, would somehow get ill. And with my aunt's 'referral', they would seek the master's guidance. And were all cured. Miracles in broad day light happening over and over again.
You just couldn't explain why, without fail, those who know my aunt will get into some sort of trouble. And then, they got referred to the master and then the problems were solved. If these weren't 'targeted', then tell me, how?
And let me tell you one more. This man claimed that the god he was worshipping was actually a friend of Jesus Christ and that they fought demons together sometimes. And Christianity was an OK religion because apparently we were worshipping a 'good God'. But then, according to this man, Islam was a bad religion because their 'Allah' was big demon actually. LOL man, trying to make use of racial sentiment here?
So, we've gotten the threat. If I don't bow to his influence, then bad things will just keep coming.
By the way, this master is not from a proper Buddhist temple. I know how Buddhism works. It's not like a trade, you don't pay and get cured. Miracles don't happen all the time, if not it's not a miracle then.

Totally not siding ur aunt's side. I believe that Master is practicing black magic >:(. And for the fact that he condemns other people's God is totally absurd and full of crap. Stay far far away from him :\

DeleteBelief versus science. I've got to say science wins. Does your sister has a medical condition called Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura? Condition where platelet count is low.
ReplyDeleteEh! maybe that's the medical term! Thanks for that, just forwarded to my sis http://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/bhcv2/bhcarticles.nsf/pages/Idiopathic_thrombocytopenic_purpura
